New Piston Compressors from Air Supply UK
Piston type air compressors or reciprocating compressors as they are also known, used to be the industry standard air compressor, no matter what size or pressure was required. From the early part of the 20th century on the development of the rotary compressor, piston type machines have retained their hold in areas where the new-fangled rotary vane and screw machines could not cover.
There areas are the likes of, Garage use, small air use, cost sensitive purchases, intermittent air usage, and high pressure applications.
So a piston type compressor, could be anything from an Industrial ERP A series, receiver mounted compressor, to a silenced oil free dry air dental type EKOM machine, to a high pressure 300bar diving breathing air compressor.
We have been selling the ERP brand of air compressors since 1995, and enjoy spares continuity, as we are still using the same heavy duty Chinook Cast iron barrel pump unit we were in the 1980’s
