Remember, the performance of an aerial is governed by its location - always the higher the better. Always choose a better aerial before moving on to a pre-amplifier.

Air Master VHF Aerial
Air Master VHF Colinear airband 'pole' type aerial with 4 ground-plane elements mounted on plastic tube holding colinear aerial. Not including cable and plugs which are extra.

HBS 1090 Mk.II UHF Aerial
This aerial is specifically designed for use with the AirNav Radar Box, and SBS-1 real time "synthetic radar" systems, operated from the Aircraft Transponder radio signals through a Computer. Aerial is supplied with mounting bracket and 'U' bolt, and has N-type cable connection. It comes with a very short length of cable terminated with BNC plug.
To get the best performance from this aerial it is best to use Westflex W301 cable. As this would be cut to length for you, and supplied with appropriate plugs, (SMA in the case of the Air Nav system) e-mail for quote, and delivery.

Cables for loft and Roof Aerials
We give a selection of pre-assembled cables for scanners. We will supply all with RG58 multistrand cable unless otherwise requested seperately by e-mail. TERMINATING CONNECTIONS ARE INCLUDED; each cable will have the aerial connection plug fitted, but the second plug will be seperate. (Usually a BNC right-angle solderless plug.) We suggest brackets and poles are bought locally depending on circumstances.

Compact Magmount aerials
Two ultra-lightweight micro-magmount aerials, each supplied with at least 6m of slimline cable terminating in BNC plug. Left hand one illustrated has a wide 25 - 1300 mHz performance range, and the longer one is tuned to the VHF airband, though will work in the UHF airband range in good listening conditions. Filters for use with scanners
If there is interference present on tranmissions it may be necessary to introduce a filter into the line. Illustrated are two types - the Notch filter which is adjustable to frequency, and below it, the 'Band-pass' type VHF airband fliter.

Preamplifiers
These should be used very selectively to bring in a frequency that is only just heard. Two types are available - one that cover the airband 108mHz to 137mHz, and one that covers a full VHF and UHF band upto 1300mHz. Both supplied with capacity to take 6 to 12volt supply, or 9volt PP3 power pack battery, and BNC connections only.

Earpieces
Two earpieces, each fitted with 3.5 mm mono jack, suitable for use with scanners. The top item illustrated, the "Wanston" earpiece, has a sponge cover over the speaker, and is hinged so as to be used over either ear. The lower unit, Altai Model A069, is a slightly cheaper model, with 'D' type ear fitting, such as used by emergency services.

Extension Speakers
To provide a better audio output we are able to offer extra extension speakers, each of which plug into the radio or scanner by means of a 3.5mm plug.
The large one 87mm square has an impedance of 8 ohms, and Maximum output of 10watts, and comes complete metal mounting bracket. (Similar to unit illustrated which has now been discontinued)
The smaller 'CB' speaker is only 55mm in diameter, output of 5watts, and has plastic mounting bracket, and cable.
The third type (Lower illustration) is a small 'Lapel' speaker 50mm square, with coiled type cable to 3.5mm plug. This has a rotating clip on the back to enable it to be fitted in any position on the lapel of a jacket.

Vehicle Power Supplies for radios
Two types of power supplies to power your airband radio from the car.
Above: a 12volt supply, with fused plug for a set accepting 12-13.8 volt power.
Below: a multi-volt outlet Supply, with varying outputs,12v;9v;7.5v; 6v;4.5v;3v;1.5v including most scanners available on the UK market. This unit also has multi-pin and polarity selection options.

Car Holders for Scanners or Phone
Two types of Car Holders for your scanner are available. If your cellphone has a belt clip, they can also be mounted this way.
The QS200, illustrated lower right and in photographs above fits easily into the ventilation grille of the vehicle, and is fully adjustable with the clips turning through 90 degrees and adjustable to width. Price £9.95
The RHM200, lower left, is more robust and adusts to fit on the door cill under the side window. For Cills greater than 58mm deep, an extra extension piece is included. This allows your scanner to be easy to hand for tuning. Price £10.95
